Where Business and Technology Meets and Becomes Useful
First iphone worm!

Yes, you read it right.  There was a worm (virus) released for iphone.  Don’t worry, iphoneunless you have jailbroken your iphone it appears the probability of your being affected is slim to none.  What is happening is the phones are using SSH (Secure Shell) to transfer this virus because many of those who have enabled this feature did not take the time to change the default iphone password of “alpine”.  The worm simply changes your background to an image of Rick Astley.  The fun part is what happens next.  Now it locks SSH so you cannot disable it and it begins looking around the web for other iphone users that can fall victim to the same problem.

iphone developers have been trying to put an end to jailbreaking the iphones for years now.  This worm comes in a time while Mac is looking for a new iphone OS Security Manager to help them reduce the possibility of iphone hacks.  This position as far as I know has not yet been filled, but this may be just the ticket they are looking for to drive the reasoning behind this new hire.  That and they don’t want to be giving anything away for free.
